We took a trip to Afton Apple Orchard today. Going to the orchard is one of my favorite things to do this time of year. This year Evelyn was old enough to take part in the apple picking...and eating. She enjoyed eating apples hand picked from the tree, fresh pressed apple juice, and bites of an apple donut and an apple fritter. It doesn't get better than this...but oh it does...Evelyn loved the the hay ride pulled by tractor "Peggy," the kiddie ride on "Jelly Bean" the cow, and greeting all of the farm animals too. The annual trip to the apple orchard will definitely remain a family tradition for years to come.
