Minnesota Spring

Spring is taking its sweet time settling in. During the past week we have had temperatures in the 70s followed by temperatures in the 40s with threats of snow. What gives? In an effort to be patient and keep our sanity as we wait for consistent spring weather to arrive, Evelyn and I ventured off to the Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul with our friend Libby this morning. It was such a delight to be surrounded by blooming flowers and to feel the warmth of the green houses.

Olson Women's Weekend

Evelyn experienced her first Olson Women's Retreat up at Kavanaugh's Sylvan Lake Resort in Brainerd Minnesota this past weekend. She had a wonderful time playing, swimming, and entertaining everyone.

Spring thaw

Finally... a warmer day to allow the snow to melt and Evelyn to be outside. We took advantage of the 50 degree weather and played in the sun for a bit this afternoon. Evelyn enjoyed exploring the yard (picking up sticks, tasting rocks, and collecting pine cones).

Many of you know that Evelyn has quite the mullet, as most toddlers do at one time or another. We are doing our best to push through this phase and leaving the scissors in the drawer. Thus far, our solution has been limited to distraction with hair clips and bows, but recently I was able to put Evelyn's hair in pigtails!!
