14 months

Eleanor is such an easy going girl, which is a good trait to have at the moment since our house and schedule is chaotic. She has been playing amongst boxes and bubble wrap as we pack our house up for the big move. She has been eating boring (easy to make) meals sitting on one of our laps instead of in her high chair (which was put away for staging purposes). Most of her toys have been packed up...and she is dealing with exhausted over worked parents. What a trooper. Both Eleanor and Evelyn have been great through all of this change and have kept us grounded and focused on days that we might have otherwise come unglued.

At 14 months, Eleanor...

climbs stairs very quickly.

loves baby dolls.

finally says "mama!"
enjoys going down the slide with her sister at the playground.
flops down in frustration when something doesn't go her way.
thinks ice cream is the best.
drools constantly...maybe tooth #3 will arrive soon?
helps to pick out her shoes for the day.

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy to my girls!

Evelyn has been taking a creative movement class this year. She has enjoyed spending time with new friends prancing and leaping around the dance floor. The past 9 months of Saturday morning dance classes culminated in a recital where Evelyn and her little friends danced to "You are my Sunshine."

Evelyn 3.5

Evelyn is 3 and a half years old and is proud of it. She loves being a big girl and often talks about being 4 and then 5 and then 6 and then... She looks up to all of her friends who are just a little bit older than her and can't wait to be their age.

She weighs 32 pounds and is a little over 3 feet tall. She is healthy and active and we are so very blesses.

At 3.5 years old, Evelyn...

thinks its pretty fun to have her toe nails painted.
can write her first name.
has a big imagination and enjoys pretending.
is a great listener and is often the leader at school.
helps around the house.
likes to bake with mommy.
enjoys long distance running..no seriously, the girl likes to run.
has lots of energy and rarely takes a nap anymore.
prefers to do things herself.
loves princesses and dressing up and playing with dolls.
likes to paint and color.
enjoys a good birthday party, especially if there is cake involved.
