Baby's First Christmas
Evelyn enjoyed her first Christmas at just 3-weeks-old. We were lucky to have lots of family in town for the holidays. This included Bedstemor (Great Grandma) Felicie, Great Aunt Kris, Great Uncle Bob, Uncle Simon, Great Aunt Marcie, and cousin Eva. Evelyn got lots of snuggle time with everyone.

Welcome home
After 4 days in the hospital we brought Evelyn home. When we left the house earlier that week it was just the two of us. Now we are a family of three and we couldn't be happier. Evelyn is an amazing little baby. She has been a great eater from the beginning and is already 7 lbs. 13 ounces at 1 week of age. The first few nights at home were a little rough. Evelyn decided she wanted to party all night long. But after a few days we were all sleeping more at night. Ari is able to be home for 2 weeks and it is wonderful having this time to get to know our little girl.

Introducing Evelyn Elisabeth
We are so blessed to welcome Evelyn Elisabeth into our family on December 1st, 2009. We had been eagerly awaiting Evelyn's arrival for months. Her expected arrival was November 24th, 2009. So when her due date came and went, we had to muster up every ounce of patience we had. The final weeks of the pregnancy showed little progression of impending delivery and so induction was scheduled for 41 weeks. On November 30th we checked into the hospital to start the process. By the next morning it was looking like we would be having a baby later that day. However, to our surprise, that afternoon it was determined that the baby was breech. At 3:44pm, Evelyn was born via c-section. She came out crying, vigorous, and healthy at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 21 inches long.
