18 months

She is spirited. She is strong. She is feisty. She is sweet. She is loud. She is smart. She is Eleanor.

One and a half already! She weights 22 pounds, 6 ounces and is 33 inches tall.

At 18 months, Eleanor...
is always chattering loudly.
says approximately 50+ intelligible words, both English and Spanish.
uses a few signs but mostly talks.
loves playing with baby dolls, cars and trains.
jumps, climbs, and runs around the house.
adores (and annoys) her big sister.
feeds herself with a spoon and fork.
falls asleep within minutes of being placed in her crib.
wakes up happy and ready for the day.
likes shoes and boots.
prefers to carry a stuffed animal under her arm.
is getting a few more teeth and is constantly drooling.

Pumpkin time

Halloween is only days away...time to get the pumpkins ready!!

Yellow bike

Evelyn was a little timid about riding her "yellow bike" until a month or two ago...and then she just hopped on and off she went. It is a balance bike, a bike without pedals. She balances and glides up and down the driveway while kicking her feet to gain momentum. It is pretty cool to watch her confidence build over the last few weeks. She has fallen down a few times and just jumps right back up without a worry.

Eleanor is interested in biking too. She chases after Evelyn as she zips by. She has climbed onto the tricycle but her feet are just a tad too short to pedal, so instead she straddles the trike and scoots along. Soon enough...

Oh sister

El right by her sister's side

Ev helping her little sister put on her tights
I love watching these girls and their special sister bond. They both have a desire to be with one another at all times. Eleanor is getting into imaginative play and the two of them spend lots of time playing with baby dolls...and a little time fighting over baby dolls. Evelyn likes to pick out Eleanor's clothes for the day, Eleanor likes to follow Evelyn around the house, the like taking baths together...it is all so sweet.
