9 months

No way! She can't be 9 months already?! She sure is...
Eleanor is the happiest little 9 month old. She is happy when she wakes up in the morning, happy when she goes to day care during the day, happy to see her sister, happy to eat and happy to play. She is happy. We are happy.

Eleanor has had a series of consecutive respiratory viruses since Christmas, but despite that she is happy and growing well. She weighs 18 pounds, 6 ounces and is 27 inches long.

At 9 months old, Eleanor...
babbles "dada" and "mama" and lots of other sounds.
pulls to a stand.
eats big girl food like toast, pasta, and crackers.
drinks from a sippy cup.
loves crawling after her sister.
enjoys taking baths with her sister and splashing in the water.
can pull toys/books off a shelf in record time.
gives kisses.

Swimming lessons

Evelyn has been going to swimming lessons once a week for the past several months. She loves it and is really doing well. When she started she was quite hesitant to jump into the pool without  holding her teacher's hands. Now she eagerly jumps in! She has gotten much more confident with floating on her back too. It is fun to see how much she enjoys the water and how proud she is of herself when she masters a skill.

Evelyn went ice skating for the first time today. She loved being out on the ice!
