3 months

Our little one is 3 months old!!

At 3 months old, Eleanor...
has found her voice and is cooing, giggling and screeching.
adores her big sister and watches her every move.
has discovered her hands and loves how they taste.
grabs toys and brings them to her mouth.
wakes once during the night to nurse.
prefers to stand on your lap or be held upright like a big girl.
enjoys snuggling.
travels well in the car when out and about.
is a happy baby and smiles constantly (but not for the camera).

Summit 2012

As many of you know, Ari summited Mt. Rainier last year. He loved the experience so much that he went on another expedition to climb Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams. Ari headed west for his 10 day adventure in Washington and Oregon just as my amazing aunt and cousin came east to Minnesota for a visit. 

While Ari was away I was able to spend time talking, eating, laughing, and sewing with my family. It was great to have the extra sets of hands to help with the girls. Especially for that trip to the ER after Evelyn fell and split her cheek open on the corner of a chair. Ugh! Three stitches later and she was as good as new. 

Ari had a great time out West with the guys. The trip was very successful and they were able to summit Mt. Baker and Mt. Hood. Unfortunately, a white out 600 feet from the top kept them from summiting Mt. Adams. The guys did awesome and we are happy they are home safe and sound.

Snug as a bug in a rug

The girls love sitting together in the Burley. We got the Burley bike trailer last year so that we could tow Evelyn along on bike rides. When we purchased the Burley we also got the attachment to convert it to a stroller. I am so glad we did. Eleanor is now big enough to sit safely and comfortably snuggled alongside her sister for stroller rides (no bike rides for Eleanor until she is at least a year old and can wear a helmet). Evelyn enjoys sitting beside her little sister in the stroller and is very helpful in keeping her entertained during our evening walks.
