I'm a big sister!

Evelyn has been eager to be a big sister from day one. She seemed to understand from the beginning that mommy was growing a baby in her tummy and eventually the baby would come out and join our family. Evelyn would often rub my belly and talk to the baby (and in the final days of pregnancy we begged for the baby to come out soon).

When she heard that the baby had finally arrived she squealed with excitement. The day she had been waiting for had finally come. The moment that Evelyn met Eleanor was truly special. We know that that this is the beginning of a life long friendship.

"She's so pretty isn't she?"

Evelyn adores Eleanor and is very loving and gentle. The first thing Evelyn wants to do upon waking in the morning is go and see her baby sister. She is eager to help with baby cares (changing diapers, choosing Ellie's clothing for the day, etc.) and sooth Ellie when she cries (often suggesting she needs mommy's milk or needs her teddy bear). Evelyn loves to hold Eleanor and look at her tiny fingers and toes...and of course, give her lots of kisses.
