Vacation

We went on our first family vacation since Evelyn was born. Evelyn experienced her first airplane ride and was given her first pair of wings. She did way better than expected on both flights to and from Seattle. She kept busy with a few new toys, but the best entertainment was playing with 2 cups of ice.

When we arrived in Washington, Ari went off with his work buddies to eat crab and prepare for the big climb up Mt. Rainier and Evelyn and I went to visit family.

Ari successfully climbed Mt. Rainier and we are so proud of him. He had perfect weather at the summit. Congratulations Ari!

After Ari's safe return down the mountain, we took a trip to Orcas Island to visit Evelyn's uncle Simon. Orcas is a beautiful island in the San Juan's covered with lush forests and beautiful cottages nestled on pebble covered beaches. Simon is having a wonderful time studying permaculture on a gorgeous 10 acre farm filled with fruit trees, vegetables, and lush roses.
